                        "When That Day Comes"

There is a part of me out there in your time and space
I am a part of him no matter how hard you try, I can't be erased,

It is my blood that runs through his viens and heart
This natural bond can not be broken or torn apart,

Bone of my bone, formed from my DNA
His breath from my breath day after day,

He has my eyes my mouth and yes my cheeks
All of which he developed inside my womb for 42 weeks,

Emotions and questions always swarm through his head
Time after time the very truth goes unsaid,

"You were wanted" by your birthparents goes unspoken
For fear if he only knew you would no longer be choosen,

You will do or say anything while being presistent
To deny him his true roots his very existence,

I do not understand this selfishness you call "love",
He is loved by so many but that he's deprived of,

This child is my son not a toy to be shared at your will
He is not numb without emotions to feel,

Day after day you go on like I am obsolete
"We're your family" she's nothing to seek,

As the time draws near for us to reunite
He takes on your battle, not his, it's your fight,

When it is all over he hears every word
He will remeber over the years all he's heard

When that day comes, I will be here with open arms
A pure  natural love which needs no charms
